Plans well underway for June 3, 2010
Planning for the 19th annual Maimonides RBC-Dominion Securities Golf Tournament
is well under way. We look forward to having you join us on Thursday,
June 3, 2010 at Elm Ridge Country Club on Ile Bizard. Last year's
tournament raised an outstanding $210,000.00 for Maimonides Geriatric Centre,
the only facility in Montreal delivering a full continuum of quality care to
our aging population. Our integrated network includes the Helen and Sam Steinberg
Day Hospital, short-term respite stays, community-based homes and various long-term
care accommodations.
Thanks to your involvement, the proceeds of this year's tournament will positively
impact the quality of life at Maimonides. Monies raised from the 2010
tournament will help to establish the Maimonides Centre for Research in Aging. As
a McGill University affiliate we know that research will have a direct impact
on the quality of care while uncovering, promoting and sharing new knowledge.
In this our 100th anniversary year, we are ready to take the centre to the
next level, building on our strengths while becoming the resource of choice
for the elderly of Quebec and a model of excellence for long-term care everywhere.
Donations to the Foundation support ongoing programs such as geriatric research
in association with McGill University, medical fellows, continuing education
bursaries to allow the professional staff to upgrade their skills, therapeutic
and recreational programming and various specialized equipment needs.
On behalf of our Board members and residents, we wish to extend our
heartfelt thanks for your loyal and generous support of this cause. Your
help this year will enable us to provide the highest quality care to the close
to six hundred clients who depend on our services.
Best Regards,
