The Auxiliary offers numerous opportunities for leadership through participation in fundraising activities, community outreach, educational programming and special events.

Meals-on-Wheels
The Auxiliary organizes and subsidizes the only hot, kosher meals-on wheels program provided to the home-bound elderly on a Monday to Friday schedule. Over 10,000 meals are delivered annually at affordable prices. A professional co-ordinator runs this invaluable community outreach program.

Coffee Shop
Managed by the Auxiliary and staffed by volunteers, the Coffee Shop, scheduled to undergo a complete facelift, provides light dairy meals to staff, visitors and residents. Menus change daily and opening hours complement those of the staff cafeteria.

Gift Shop
The Centre has an attractive gift shop offering a wide variety of gifts - housewares, Judaica, holiday items and other selections - all at reasonable tax free prices. The Auxiliary handles the buying and staffing of the Gift Shop which is soon to be relocated and entirely renovated.

Evie's Boutique
This is an in-house boutique that provides residents with the opportunity to shop for themselves from a wide variety of typically required items. Prices are reasonable and the service is run by the Auxiliary. The boutique is named for its founder Evie Stroller who initiated the project and enlisted the help of others in the community to ensure its realization.

The Auxiliary also funds the following:

• Resident outings
• Shuttle bus to Cavendish Mall
• Special assistance to needy residents
• Many special projects such as Bat-Mitzvah program, Adult Education courses, and others
• Many special events and programs such as Strawberry Social, Breakfast Club, Raised Gardens, Humour Cart, Baking Cart, Art Cart and others.

In order to cover the cost of subsidizing the many services and projects at the Centre, the Auxiliary relies on the generosity of its members and the community at large through various fundraising events held throughout the year.
