Read the Auxiliary Bulletin

The Auxiliary was founded in 1966. This vibrant group at Maimonides now incorporates four thousand five hundred energetic and dedicated members whose principal objective is to improve the quality of life for the residents through the enrichment of existing programs.

The Auxiliary staffs and runs the Gift Shop and Coffee Shop, subsidizes approximately 10,000 kosher meals-on-wheels annually and allocates funds for the Day Hospital bus, needy residents, out-of-hospital trips, as well as many other worthy programs.

Numerous fundraising events held throughout the year, generate the necessary revenue to support these worthwhile projects.

Open general meetings are held several times a year. They provide opportunities to update members on Auxiliary activities, and to present interesting speakers on a wide variety of topics.

SATELLITE GROUP
The Satellite Group is a small dynamic team of young and committed professional women - many, second generation Auxiliary members - who joined together in 1989 to combine their expertise in raising funds for the Centre. Each June, the Satellite Group organizes a special event which traditionally focuses on the arts.

You can help. It is a way of recommitting yourself to the community and passing the tradition of caring to the next generation. Anyone interested in becoming a member should call the Auxiliary office at 483-2121, local 2230.
